The temperature is slowly cooling down, and the nights are getting longer. Summer is ending, but the list of fun things to do in Brooklyn is not. From cultural events to outdoor activities, there are plenty of things to do at the end of summer. Don’t miss out!

5 Things to Do in Brooklyn at the End of Summer
The end of summer is a great time to visit Brooklyn. There are many fun things to do, and the weather is still warm enough to enjoy them all. Here are some of our favorites:
Watch Magical Fireworks
The Coney Island Fireworks is one of the best ways to spend a summer evening in Brooklyn. The display is beautiful and mesmerizing, and it’s something that you’ll never forget.
They take place every night from late June to early September (June 24 to September 2) and are worth seeing. It’s a family event, and entry to the party is free.
Enjoy the Maritime Atmosphere at Pilot
Having your lunch at a sailing-vessel restaurant sounds like a great idea. Go to Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 6 and enjoy your time at the Pilot restaurant. The Pilot is over 100 years old and was the United States’ fastest ship back in the day.
The boat offers beautiful scenery of the East River. Enjoy the views of Lower Manhattan and soak up the sun with a glass of wine in your hand. If you’re feeling adventurous, try out some of their specialty cocktails.
Join the New York Film Festival
If you’re looking for a fun and exciting way to end the summer, join the New York Film Festival at Lincoln Center. It’s one of the biggest and most prestigious events on the film calendar, running from September 30 to October 16 this year. In Brooklyn, you can watch the festival screenings at BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music).
There are screenings of all sorts of movies – from blockbusters to indie darlings. Other activities you can partake in are meeting cast and crew members or joining interactive sessions that allow you to explore different aspects of film-making firsthand. And if that’s not enough, there are also plenty of parties and events throughout the festival that you can attend.
Celebrate the Oktoberfest
Beer, food, and live music — what else do you need to say goodbye to summer? Black Forest restaurant will host the Oktoberfest this year from September 17 to October 15.
Everything from the beer specials to the live band will be worth checking out. In addition to all the fun activities, there will also be costume and mug-holding contests. So whether you’re looking for a drink and party or want to celebrate some German heritage, join the Oktoberfest.
Participate in the NYC Unicycle Festival
The NYC Unicycle Festival is back again this year (September 1-4), and it’s not to be missed. It’s the perfect way to sign off your summer-long outdoor fun-fest.
Over four days, the participants will perform a long-distance ride from Brooklyn Bridge to Coney Island. Check the full schedule here.
